I have a 2005 Subaru Outback with the Python 911 etc... the set of lights (front side yellow, and back red) that flash when you lock and unlock will not turn off even now that the car is off, locked, keys out of it. I've checked everything obvious with the car controls and nothing is different. Since these are the same lights as the alarm I thing the two are connected. Any ideas?

Hello Ihemker,

I understand that you are having a problem with you Python 991 system. The problem is that you front and rear parking lights are not turning off when the alarm is set. Python does not have a suggestion as why this is happening. However, usually resting the system will revert the system to the last good setting.

The system needs to be rest. You can disconnect the car battery for five minutes. The security system has a back up battery that will save the settings of the alarm. If this does not work you will need to take it the a dealer and have them reset the unit.

2009 Subaru Outback front and back marker lights will not shut off. Security light is flashing... Help?

Hello, Ok, first... If you can still lock and unlock the car with your remote normally, the security system is working normally, when the car is off and the key is out of the ignition, door open, closed, locked, or unlocked, that security light will blink every 3 seconds or so. Second, look on top the steering column cover to find a small rocker switch, that is your park lamp override switch that allows you to turn on your park lamps with the key off because Subaru's cut all accessory light power once the key is off, they just wanted you to have that choice. This is most likely your problem, I hope this info helps...(subyguru)...
