Hi lufberg,

I see you need help with your radio controlled clock.

Place your Seth Thomas atomic clock face-down on a table or desk and locate a series of buttons labeled "PST," "MST," "CST" and "EST" on the back of the clock. Press the appropriate button to set the time zone.

Turn your attention to the small lithium battery-powered digital clock display on the back of your clock. With the correct time zone set, the digital display should accurately reflect the current local time.

Locate the AA battery compartment on the back of your clock. Put two new AA batteries into your clock's battery compartment.

Set the "Mode" switch on the back of your Seth Thomas atomic clock to "Run." Wait for it to adjust to the correct time. The automatic time-adjustment process can take up to 45 minutes, but is usually completed much sooner.

I have an Accu-Time Electronic Clock Model #40240. Made in China, but have no idea how to set the time/date/ect. Is there a manual I can download?

It can't be done. The Accutime 40240 has a 3V lithium battery behind the 9V compartment that keeps the time should the clock lose AC power or even when the backup 9V dies. If however the 9V is removed, the AC power is disconnected and the lithium battery drains, there is no way for the end user to reset the time. There is a small data port in the 9V battery compartment which is how they initially set the time IMHO but good luck finding a way to do that outside the factory. Besides, these clocks are so cheap its probably less cost to get another clock rather than replace the batteries

Hi Karen,

Sounds like a neat clock!
I can't find anything about this clock. Other projection clocks set the time change automatically. What happens when you try to push the + button. Does it set the time ahead?

Also, what does it do when you press "kight"?

Karen, if I can't help you with this, please post again to let someone else have a try.

Please write back and let me know what happens with these buttons.

Good luck,

I have a Sio/Scan Atomic Clock that gives time, indoor and outdoor temp. I have lost the instruction manuel and cannot set time or date since I changed batteries. CN5 V00 U Can you help me?

The Sio/Scan Atomic clocks should automatically set the time and date.

Place the clock in a window facing towards Colorado and give it 24 hrs to update

If that fails here's the web site for them:

I have an atomic clock and I am looking for an instruction manual for it. The only thing I could find on it was a website on the back of the clock "lacrosstechnology.com/8256" and the numbers...

Hi - Welcome to fixya.

We don't have that manual, but as you provided excellent information, I was able to find it. You can download it free from here:

http://www.lacrossetechnology.com/8256/manual.pdf

Once the file is open, you will be able to save and/or print the manual. If you are unable to open the file, you may also need to download Adobe Reader:

http://get.adobe.com/reader/

You probably couldn't find it as 'lacross" was missing the final 'e' ;)

BElectric
