My tv is set on zoom3 and i dont have my remote control,; what can i do? I've bought universal remotes but no luck!

If your Technica TV asks for a four digit universal code; buy onw RCA RCR311B model remote control. The codes for Technica with this remote control are:
1004, 1006, 1009, 1010, 1013, 1025, 1035, 1045, 1051, 1060, 1061, 1075, 1078, 1103, 1122, 1123, 1205
If it asks for a five digit code, buy RCA RCR 312W model remote control
Codes for Technica with this remote control are:
10054, 10180, 10150, 10060, 10092, 10016, 10056
Otherwise, give me the Brand Name and Model Number of the remote control you have with you now, and let me search whether there is any code for Technica TV, with this remote control. OK.

Ah, the old universal remote isn't so universal anymore is it? Most "universal" remote controls were designed for the old tube type television sets. There are some seriously nice universal remotes for new flat screen TV's, but most of them are pretty pricey. The only reasonable flat screen universal remote that I've found (that actually works) is the Vizio HDTV Universal Remote. It's about $25, and believe it or not ... Wal-Mart carries it in the store.

If those codes dont work try the last three(or four) numbers of your TV's serial number.

On my universal remote is just a matter of holding down the TV button till the light stays on, then punching in the three digit TV code. When the TV turns off it's the right code. But read your manual for your controller.

I have this same TV and the input cannot be changed with the remote control. Some older universal remote controls can be used with TV. With the newer remoter controls the GE codes do not work and one must use the code scan search and hope that one of the other generic TV codes works (they usually don't). The motorola DRC800 universal remote that comes with some cableboxs will work with this TV when performing the universal code search. Good Luck. I'm junking this old TV and getting a new one as soon as I can afford it. (I bought new in 1994).

i bought a ross remote control as i lost mines while i was moving houses & it works fine but when he batteriies ran out it resets its self & now i dont have the code to out in bk it for the remote towork again

provide the model number of your universal remote.

just replace the infrared diode of your remote control in you dont know how to do that..ask the tecnician to change in infrered diode in your remote control

try some universal remote controls!

try www.partstore.com and see if they have the originald remote for your tv.good luck
