Make sure all the cords are plugged into the wall, and if you're using a remote control try changing the batteries

There is a problem in the sweep section of the set. The Horizontal sweep power supply most likly. there is nothing a layman can do as it will involve troubleshooting the solid state circuit. please find a trainded tech to assist you in this repair.

You need to replace the power supply unit on this as it has malfuctioned there about $90 bucks plus labor on that.

stand by/timer and it doesnt turn on
I also have a sony 32" where the standby sleep red led constantly flashes. When I press the power button on the TV it stops, pressing again and it restarts. It does not sound like the tube is powering up at all. Is this repairable, is there an internal fuse that could be causing this problem?
