To connect your laptop to your mixer, first you need to buy a mini plug to 2-RCA cable, like the one in the figure below:

Then connect the two RCA plugs to one channel, using the inputs marked LINE or CD, as shown by the red arrows in the figure below:

Let us say that you already have two CD units connected to channels 1 and 2. Connect the cable mentioned above to the two RCA jacks of Channel 3.

Now, connect the mini plug to the sound output of your laptop (it should be merked LINE OUT, PHONES or have the symbol of a phone close to it). If the output is dinamically addressed, i.e., the sound driver pops up a windows asking what have you connected to that input, please mark the answer that indicates LINE OUT or HEADPHONES (or something related, but not LINE IN or MICROPHONE).

Adjust your laptop volume to LOW. Switch on your mixer, select the channel you connected the laptop and increase its volume. Put a song in your laptop to play and raise its volume little by little, till you have a good level of sound with no distortion

A word of caution: If you adjust the laptop volume to maximum, distortion could occur, so experiment with the laptop volume to find the best level.

Hope this info may help you!

You need an adaptor cable to go from the 3.5mm headphone jack on your laptop to the RCA inputs on the mixer, specifically a male stereo 3.5mm to dual RCA male adaptor like the one shown at this link, this can be found at almost any electronics department,i.e. target, best buy, walmart, radio shack, etc..

Qfx1222 usb/hp envy computer - no sound frm mp3 music files

When you connect your laptop to the behringer mixer via USB it effectively uses the mixer as the audio interface.

You will need to hear the audio through the mixer either through headphones or external speakers.

There is no way that I am aware of that you can route all audio back through your laptop's speakers.

I have purchased a beheringer 1832fx usb mixer and I have connected my computer to my mixer that has a usb interface on the back in order to play my backing tracks, music, via my computer, and when I turn...

The main mix controls ALL outputs simultaneously.

The mic channels are controlled individually by the sliders.

It sounds like you are on the verge of feedback where the mics are picking up the PA speakers.

Make sure you have loaded the support SW and make sure you have disabled ECHO as the mics may be looping back through the computer causing the rattle.

Cant hear anything out of my speakers connected to djio

Are you using a Mixer as a pre-amp for this set-up? For example, I have a Numark CM200 where I have all of the inputs and outputs I need to run. DJ IO is connected to Chanel 1 and Chanel 2 Lines in my mixer. The DJ IO is conected to my computer by USB cable. In Traktor souncard settings chanel 1 is set to (3&4) Chanel 2 (2&1) also, devise set up is Numark DJ IO and in External mode. Of course the mixer is conected to my amp and speakers conected to the amp as well.

Mixer doesnt send sound to my computer

If you are using recording software you will have to look for Preferences and make sure that the software is detecting your soundcard. You also have to make sure that your PlayControl settings match the input on your soundcard to the ones your mixer are plugged into. You also have to match the RecordingControl which is under Options and then Properties. That is all under Sounds and Audio Devices in your Control Panel under the Volume tab then Advanced. If you have latency problems which makes the sound delayed from the input on your mixer to what you hear from your computer try downloading Asio4all although your mixer should have come with a disk with the proper drivers. If it didn't Behringer has a great support section at their site that has downloads for everything.
