OSX 10.4 printer driver for HP CP1025nw. HP says they only support OSX 10.5 and newer, and i am out of luck using OSX 10.4. Does anyone have a solution so i can print from OSX 10.4 to the HP Color Laser Printer CP1025nw? thanks!

Some older scanners are not supported by the newer versions of Apple OSX. This can be a real problem for owners of older printer/scanner equipment and windows 8/10 has driver issues with older equipment also.
HP is a great printer or scanner. They make a universal print driver and a universal scan driver which I have installed both in my macs and in my windows machines (I have both OSX and Windows machines at home and at work)
The universal scan drivers and universal print drivers may work on your unit. Also you may have to assign your printer a high static IP address and tell the computer and driver where to find it, as sometimes automatic pairing is not possible.
Example... Your router IP address is 192.168.1.1 and it passes out DHCP addresses from 50 to 100 (192.168.1.50 to 192.168.1.100).
You can assign your printers in the house of office static IP address starting at .201 then .202 .203 etc...
Tell the driver you know the IP address and enter 192.168.1.201 and the driver or HP universal driver will find the printer and link up no problem.

To be able to do that you need to use a cups driver.
Try www.cups.org
try a driver for datamax or for Zebra if you have the pplz option
Else you'll have to write one.

Every hardware has different drivers for different versions of operating system, so in the same way, you also need to install a newer or different driver for the new computer. If you can let me know which operating system is installed on your new computer, and what make or what model is your printer, I can help you find the driver for your printer. I hope you understand what operating system means, i.e. Microsoft Windows xp or Windows Vista or Windows 7 or OSX etc...etc..

There is only one Mac Driver for this printer, i.e. Mac OSx 10.0 and newer version. I don't think it'll be possible to install the printer on Mac OSx 6.5, if you want to try with the newer versions' driver, you can download it from here (click here). If this isn't compatible, you can't install it on the System with Mac OSx 6.5.

lmao have you tried using the universal drivers they have... seem to work for most things when nothing works...

but really the mini's are new ground for manufacturers that are used to tech support being able to troubleshoot issues they didnt "forsee" in the board room.

I've not used this machine, but it should be a simple procedure by following the installation procedure for MAC OSx....drivers are here:

Try a program for scanning into Mac OSX called VueScan, not the best but the only one I got working. But it does have some bugs. HP says they do not support this printer anymore for OSX, so that means no new drivers. Probably going to have to buy a new one that works flawlessly with OSX though.
