Welcome to Fixya!

For you to connect this phone to a desktop PC, here's what you need :

  • Compatible USB cable as means of connectivity
  • USB driver
The USB cable can be purchased from any local electronic stores near you (radioshack..etc), just remember to bring your phone so you can test it right at the store. For the USB driver, I provided the link for you to obtain it:

Motorola USB Driver

  • Click on "Download Motorola 4.90 Driver with Motohelper"
  • Download the installation files
  • Run the installation
  • Restart the computer
You may need to get your phone and usb data cable ready as the installation might ask for it.

Hope this helps, Thank you for using Fixya.

My face book works fine on my desk top but it stopped working on my I phone about two hours ago. can you help/

That happened to me this week, too. I tried hard closing the app, restarting the iPhone, updating the app - nothing helped. It turned out my wifi signal was strong, but my router was actually not connecting well to the internet. When I drove "off-site" (ie, Starbucks), FB worked great. Once I got my internet/wifi situation sorted out at home, FB works there, too.

Good luck!

My phone clicks for about 10 seconds after i answer it

A wireless router phone is not like a normal telephone line phone.
It's an IP Phone that uses Internet Protocol to connect to the internet like your browser. you are hearing the connection delay to establish itself.

I used my ATT 830 phone as a wall phone and now want to use it as a desk phone. Where can I get the base for desk use?

On the bottom of the phone remove the plastic cover from the bottom half of the phone and re-install it on the top half. The phone will now be at the proper angle for desk use.

Switching from desk top to laptop

You should only have to take out the ethernet wire from the desktop and plug it into the laptop (the one that looks like a big phone cord). However, depending on the connection you may need logon information for the broadband service provider.

This is my situation; I have a hard wire connection from my wall phone/DSL outlet to a Westell model C90 DSL router/modem. Since this allows for only one single hard wire connection to one desk top (I have...

So you are connecting the DSL Modem output to the D-Link's LAN port 1, right? In this case, you should connect the DSL Modem output to the D-Link's WAN Port, which is between the power input and the LAN outputs.

If it doesn't work that way, check this out:
