How to program puting a pecentage?

Sad as it may be, this calculator does not have a % button/key/menu. So do not look for it. However you can still convert your decimal numbers to percent values.
1 %= 1 per cent (100) = 1/100=0.01
0.01=0.01*100/100=(0.01*100)/100=1/100=1%
To convert a decimal number to %, move the decimal mark two places to the right.
To convert a percent value to a decimal value, move the decimal mark two places to the left and drop the % symbol.

How to calculate a percentage - whole numbers

Say you want to know what percent x is of y (or To find out x is what percent of y).
We take x / y and times 100. Depending on what x and y are this might not always be a whole number,
we could round the number off to a whole number. An example: 81 is what percent of 135? To solve this
take (81 / 135) * 100 = (0.6) * 100 = 60 percent.

1) A trader bought 45 dozen items for 2700 naira. If 15% of the items got destroyed, what should be the cost per item to make a profit of 265? 2) A woman bought 200 mangoes for 800 naira she discovered...

Answer A:

45 dozen: 12 x 45 = 540

Destroyed: 15% of 540 = 540 x (15/100) = 81

Remaining: 540 - 81 = 459

A profit of 265 means that 459 items must sell at 2700+265=2965 naira or 2965/459=6.46 naira approximately.

Cost per item = 6.46 or 6.5 naira approximately

Answer B:

Cost = 800 naira

8 spoilt. Remaining = 200 - 8 = 192 OR 16 dozen (12x16=192)

Selling price: 60 naira per dozen = 60 x 16 = 960 naira

Profit made (selling price - cost price) = 960 - 800 = 160 naira. Percent profit = Profit/cost x 100 = 160/800 x 100 = 20%

Percentage profit = 20%

My aspire 5740 showes 81% available but not charging, checked all power lines etc on balanced power. Bought laptop 3 weeks ago till today it charged up

Hi

Dont be panic. Your laptop has absolutely no problem.Your manufacturer had set a 80-20 policy for the laptop battery charging such that the battery wont be charged to 100 percent but it will charged only upto 80 percent. The makers of the lap are doing this because to give good life to the battery.You can change it by going into the power options inside control panel.
