How to set up second hand and chrono minutes for bulova 98B105 back to zero setting?

What you need to do is to pull the crown to step 2 (full out) and then push the chrono top chrono button. Then the second hand will start moving one tick a time all through the dial. Keep pushing it until you reach to zero. then push crown back in,, That's it.

Pull the crown out to the first position, and then you may find that successive pushes of the upper pushbutton will move one of the chrono hands by one division, and the lower pushbutton will move a different chrono hand. Similarly if you pull the crown out to the second position, the pushbuttons will control the other chrono hands. In this way you can set each of the chrono hands to their zero positions. The small bottom dial is seconds counter and there is no option to set or reset it as it is part of the main gear train - it just counts the seconds. Top right dial is 1/10 seconds counter and runs only when the chronograph function is engaged. One full circle indicates 1 second. Top left dial is 30 minutes counter and runs only when the chronograph function is engaged. One full circle indicates 30 minutes, two circles = 1 hour. The big centre seconds hand is actually Chronograph hand and runs only when the chrono function is engaged. So, the chronograph hand and two top dials works all together when chrono function is engaged. To start chrono: push upper button once. To stop chrono: push upper button again (once). To return all hands to zero: push lower button once. There is another option: if you already stopped chrono by pushing upper button, but want to continue counting without returning hands to zero, push the upper button once more and the counting will start from the point where it stopped. You can repeat this as many as you wish - it will count on and on, till you will stop it and reset to zero. Fine tuning of chrono hands can be made by pulling the crown half way out and while leaving in this position pushing and holding one of the push buttons (which one - depends on movement caliber). mcdevito75 here, generally you"d press the chrono button to start the chrono and press again to stop it, NOW! press the chrono button again to re-set it. Should work.

Try the following, which I discovered by accident on my Tag Professional. Pull the crown out to the first position, and then you may find that successive pushes of the upper pushbutton will move one of the chrono hands by one division, and the lower pushbutton will move a different chrono hand. Do as follows:
1) pull out crown and set the hour and minute hands at 6 o'clock (they must be lined perfectly in opposite directions)
2) push the crown in half way back (not completely)
3) push and hold the button at 2 o'clock (set the big seconds hand to zero) and release it when done
4) when big seconds hand is zeroed push the crown back in
5) pull the crown out again and set desired time
6) push the crown back in.
If all actions described do not work, you will have to visit your nearest watch repair shop and ask to refit chronograph hand as in this case it is out of balance (not pointed at exact mark).

A. SETTING THE TIME
1. Pull the crown out to position “3” (See diagram). If the crown has
a “screw-down” lock, then unscrew the crown lock first by turning
the crown toward you, then pull it to position “3”. Do not forget to
screw the crown back “IN” after all setting is completed.
2. Turn the crown towards you (hands moves clockwise) until the
date changes at approximately midnight.
3. Continue turning the hour and minute hands to the correct time.
If it is afternoon you must go past 12 o’clock again (noon) to set
the correct time.
4. When the correct time is set,push crown back to position “1”.
B. SETTING THE DATE
1. Pull crown to position “2”(See proceeding diagram).The watch
will continue to run.
2. Turn the crown away from you until the correct date appears.
3. Once the date is set, push the crown back to position “1”.
Note: Do NOT set the date between the hours of 8:00 PM and
3:00 AM.This would not damage the watch,but the date may need
to be reset later.
C. CHRONOGRAPH (CHRONO) ADJUSTMENT
If the chrongraph second hand is not positioned at the proper
starting position (12 o’clock or “zero” position), use the below
procedure.It does not need to be repeated unless the watch
receives an impact sufficient to move the hand out of position, or
the Battery has been changed.
1. Pull crown out to position “3”.
2. Push button “A” to move the Chrono Second hand (long hand) to
the “0” or 12 o’clock position. Each button push will move the
hand one step – BUT holding the button down will advance the
hand rapidly.
3. Push crown back to position “1”.
D. USING THE CHRONOGRAPH (CHRONO)
Note: The maximum chrono reading is 60 minutes, However the
chrono will continue running once 60 minutes has passed. The
resulting one hour periods may be added together mentally to keep
track of longer periods.
For example – If you know that approximately one hour has
passed since you started the chronograph, and the chrono reads
25 minutes, then you know that the chrono has been running 60
minutes plus 25 minutes, which is one hour and 25 minutes.
1. Push Button “A” to start the chronograph. Push button “A” again
to stop the chronograph.
2. Push button “B” to return the two chronograph hands to the
“Zero” or starting point.
3. The Chronograph can be stopped and started again
(Button “A”), repeatedly, to “ADD” times together.

Easy Soultion worked for me. Believe Me I was worried only had the Seiko Sportura for a week now. My second dial for the stopwatch was re-setting to 5 seconds instead of zero. The Solution is
1. pull the Crown all the way out ( In the position you take the crown to set the time , second click ).
2. To set the minute face of stop watch , keep pressing the top button untill it is zero. To set the second needle to zero keep pressing the bottom button untill it reaches zero or where you like it to re-set each time. Depend on you.
3. Once all neddles of stopwatch are at resting postions ( usually zero) secure the crown back to its normal postion. Test your stop watch , hopefully it will go back to zero when you press the reset button. C

That's easy. You need to calibrate it. In normal time mode, pull the crown out all the way and then use the pushers to step it back to the zero position. When finished, push the crown back in. You can also calibrate the sub-dails in a similar fashion.
