How to activate voicemail in smart sim - Lands Phones

You should be able to activate it, on the carriers website? I had a five yr old vodafone sim, that was out of a never opened prepaid phone package. I no problem activating it!

What is the maker and model of your phone?

First you must insert to your phone then the network where the smart buddy will automatically activate it.It will activate unless your phone is not open line meaning your phone is accessible only the other network.

you can buy a pay as you go sim card from an english provider, and call your relatives from that card.in this way your cost will be cut, cuz you dont have to pay the so expensive roaming tarifs

If you can make calls, then it's issue with the service provider. They probably didn't activate your txt features for your account. Call Smart Network to activate. If you can't make calls, then the issue is likely with the SIM card. You need a replacement. Either way, call Smart Network and they will provide you with a new card

Here's a quick tip on how to activate your phone's Smart MMS and Smart GPRS settings if you're with the Smart network:
Download MMS and GPRS settings from Smart:
To download SMART MMS phone settings:
Key in SET MMS and send to 211.
To download SMART GPRS phone settings:
Key in SET GPRS and send to 211.
Example: If you have a Nokia 6230, that's "SET MMS N6230"
To activate SMART GPRS:
Key in "GPRS ON" and send to "333′
To activate SMART MMS:
Key in "MMS ON" and send to "333′
Note :
The configuration settings will be sent to your phone. You will need to select "Save All" to save the settings in the phone. Some MMS and GPRS handsets already have pre-loaded phone settings.
Activation of MMS and GPRS will require a confirmation message from SMART. A message will be sent to the sub once the feature has been activated

This configuration is working perfectly using ZT321, Baizhao 8928 and IPhone Clone A380 and probably will work using other China Phones.
If your SIM card is previously activated using other phones specially those phones supported by Globe and Smart, no need to activate your SIM. This is also valid for postpaid users since SIM cards are pre-activated for MMS, GPRS and other services.
But if your SIM is not yet activated or never been used for MMS and GPRS, you need to activate your SIM before you can use MMS and GPRS services.
For Smart SIM, you can use your China Phones to activate MMS and GPRS by simply sending/texting MMS ON / GPRS ON to 333 (I don?t know if this number is still valid). No need to download the configuration for Smart. Just use the configuration I?ve given.
For Globe SIM, this is a little bit harder and need some workaround. I tried to call Globe Customer Service but they cannot activate your SIM manually on their system and the only way to activate it is by downloading the configuration thru text or by asking them to send the configuration. But since China Phones are not yet supported by any Service Provider, what you can do is to active MMS and GPRS using another phone. Monitor until your SIM is activated then transfer your SIM in your China Phone and enjoy surfing and sending MMS.
In another forum, they said you can try using configuration for SE p900. I?ve never tried this but if this really works, well and good for China Phone fanatics.

In the Philippines they dial *888 for smart assistance, an agent will activate your sim instantly.
