Red light flashing 7 times is likely caused by problem with the speed control dial. Most likely something is wrong with the contacts. This type of problem needs attention by the service centre nominated for Rascal scooters in your area.

Anytime you get the flashing lights on these mobility scooters guys,remove the battery and the drive wheels and give all the contacts a good spraying with electrical point cleaner which you can buy from Maplins,there are four points on the drive wheels,make sure you do the male and female points,if in doubt this guy helped me for free,www.geewizrepairs.co.uk
According with the manual...
LED Flashes 7 times means a Throttle fault. Engager levers must be in neutral (centered) position before venicle is turned on. Paddle fault and speed pot fault. Switch vehicle off center levers and switch back on.

Dont think thats the problem.Last time my wife used it it did the same thing I switched it off and on again without touching anything and it went for an hour with no problems.

Hi thanks for that.fortunately have just found the fault which was a cable break on one of the leads to the steering arm
