go to start menu/all programs/accessories/run and type regedit into the box and hit o.k. Then go through the list and delete anything that has cyberlink in it's name...then close the window and restart the computer. This will stop your computer from automatically starting any cyberlink programs that are hiding away.
you press your cyberlink youcam 5 icon at ur computer desktop, with the right side of the mouse. then it will say if you remove the app, go to add/remove programs. then it will show you the page with the icons installed. the find your cyberlink cam 5. press on it. the button will have 'remove'. press remove and cyberlink cam 5 will be uninstalled. try cyberlink 2... it has free trial 30 days
Install a trial version over the existing one:
http://www.cyberlink.com/downloads/trials/power2go/download_en_US.html
Then you will be able to uninstall it altogether.
I imagine that it's trying to uninstall the older version to install the newer one, which it can't. NOTE: This is a desperate step. Delete the Cyberlink folder in C:\Program Files\; Go to Add/Remove Programs and attempt uninstall - it will say it can't uninstall, and ask you if oyu want to remove it from the program list. Click yes. Go to start->Search (or Find) and search for Cyberlink (make sure that Hidden and System files are being searched). Delete all Cyberlink files. Do the same, but with PowerDVD. Download and run CCleaner. Attempt to reinstall PowerDVD.
