You can charge the batteries with your offboard charger and the battery pack still on the scooter just plug the charger into the charger port on the side of the battery case and then plug it into the wall socket and charge overnite Will work just like if you removed the battery pack from the scooter. Is it best to keep my scooter on charge all the time or what

Keep your scooter on charge doesn't sound right. Usually, eScooters take 3-4 hours for charging and many chargers have a red while charging. These chargers turn the green light on when they completed the charging. Here, you can also read more tips about the take care of your e-scooter or e-bike https://www.insurance4ebikes.co.uk/looking-after-your-e-bike/. However, according to auto experts battery should be full all the time.

I am charging my scooter and it is beeping what do i do

Charge without the key on. Make sure your charger is applying power to the scooter. It may have a blown fuse or some other internal problem. If your batteries were totally discharged your charger will not recharge them. You'll have to charge them individually with an automotive style battery charger that is NOT an automatic charger. It may take 3 days continuous charging to recover enough charge before your scooter charger will continue to charge until the batteries are fully charged. If this doesn't work then the batteries will never take a charge nad need to be replaced.

Electric start does not work, how do I fix it?

I assume you're talking about a gas powered scooter? The batteries on these are notoriously weak--if you go more than a day or two without riding it the battery will drain. Look for a battery tender. This is a device you can plug into a wall socket and hook the other end to the battery. This will keep your scooter battery charged between uses without over-charging it and thus damaging the battery. Hope this helps.

Revo pride 2 year old scooter never used will not take charge

Well I hope I can be of Some help, If the batterys on a scooter are not charged daily after use they will deplete, in other words loss there power/charge.so each time you miss a charge the batteries will start lossing there life expectancy.that is why it Is very important to not miss a charge. When your batteries dont take a charge, that's basically saying you need new batterie. One way to make sure Your batteries need change and not your charger .... First trickle charge the batteries Second install the batteries back on the scooter Third plug in your charger it should kick on Good luck

My mother's scooter will not charge. The unit has been plugged in for over 24 hours with no change to the charged indicators. The horn works but the unit is not charging.

The horn requires very little energy to operate, so that is not a good indicator. Check all the wire connections. Take out the battery from the case and with a flashlight, check the terminals where the battery makes contact with the post of the unit. Carbon and oxidation can build up on these terminals very quickly if the scooter is used outside. Use a very fine sand paper to lightly remove this residue without removing the zinc plating then wipe with a clean cloth.

Just wondering if I can buy extra batteries and charge them without them being in the scooter and how hard is it to change out the batteries, my goal is for the kids to ride one one set while the other set...

Depends, some tabs are directly soldered to the batteries themselves so you will need a soldering iron to remove the tabs. After that, it wouldn't be too hard to remove and replace.

Keep in mind that these take 2x12volt batteries and these lead-acid type batteries may take a long time to charge depending on the current your charger is supplying.

If you plan to charge the two batteries with the stock charger, then you would have to wire the 2 batteries in series for 24volts (stock charger 24v) and for convenience you may also want to head out to your local electronics store to see if they have the female socket that the charger goes into, and possible some wire, connectors/tabs that attach to the batteries and possible some small alligator clips if required.

My scooter battery won't charge. Felt mild shock or short when attempted to insert connector. That seemed to disable the charger because the charger powers on, but will not run the charge to the...

Make sure that the charger is fully connected to the scooter; ususally the controller lights will go slowly left to right to indicate it is charging. Make sure the charger is plugged directly into the grounded wall outlet, not into an extension cord or power bar. If the charger is not being recognized by the scooter, you may need to replace the charger, or at least the power cord to the charger.
If your scooter has been sitting unused for a while? If so, the batteries might not charge anymore and will need to be replaced. Contact the manufacturer for a service call or troubleshooting over the phone.
Good luck!

I have a LYNX L-3X that I haven't used in over a year and when I tried to use it now it doesn't seem to charge at all. What do I do or try?

If the scooter has been stood for that amount of time without being charged, there's a very good chance that the batteries will need replacing. The charger may not be charging the batteries as most chargers require a minimum voltage to operate (about 16-18 volts) If there is less than that amount of voltage in the batteries, the charger will not 'kick in'. This is the most likely cause, but other problems may exist which I cannot be identified without seeing the scooter (i.e. Fuse blown in charger, plug or charging circuit or fuse blown in battery wiring harness etc).

Spare Batteries for Pride Revo Scooter

You can't do it with a car battery charger as it takes a 24 volt charger and it has to be designed to charge the sealed batteries that go in scooters and power chairs or you will blow the batteries up!

Order another battery case and swap the battery packs on the scooter with the spare pack once a week. Sealed batteries do not store well and need to be charged fully at least once a month to ensure long life. These batteries aren't cheap, and it's worth keeping them in shape.
