EA took the servers offline.........sorry to be the bearer of bad news. There are a few free programs out there that you can use to get online through a host server. One taht i have usex is xlankai
Ah you know, ea servers make you get your own account on line through them before you can play anything. Sucks, yeah, but no way around it. Hope that helps!
to play on EA servers you need to create an account with EA first. first of all. if you have an ea account then try to log off of it, then sign on again.
if you don;'t then try to create an EA account first
I've just fixed this problem...
We bought a 2nd ps3 with mercs2 yesterday and had the same problem on the new system, even when using the other copy of mercs2 from my original ps3.
This 100% worked for me;
I loaded battlefield, bad company on the new system and accepted EA's online terms. Then i started a quick game multiplayer match (don't be surprised if it doesn't connect 1st time as that occasionally happens anyway). Then i quit bad company, banged in mercs2 and "jus like that" the freeze is gone and you can play online.
I have also read that this works with army of two also but i can't confirm that.
Have fun!!!
I had the same problem where I'm logged into XBox Live and I couldn't get into the EA servers to play any EA games. This is what worked for me:
1. Hit the XBox button and Log out of XBox live. 2. Go to the Settings tab and select System Settings. 3. Choose Console Settings then Clock. 4. Choose Daylight Savings and set this to OFF and back out. 5. Log back into XBox Live and the time will be set automatically. 6. Start you EA Game and Have Fun!!!
