I'm redecorating my kitchen and want to replace a very old Hotpoint CounterSaver R VM 58003 over the range microwave. Is there a new microwave on the market with the same dimensions? I am specifically looking for a microwave that is 14 in. deep. Everything I have seen is 15 in. or more. Thanks!

It is very likely that the motor that spins the plate is wearing out. You can find a replacement on ebay and many other sites.

In the cabinet above the unit you will find 3 screws, 2 on the right side one on the left. As soon as these are removed the micro will free to fall, you need to lift the back of the micro up about 1/2" to lift it off the mounting plate on the wall.

A mains surge may have taken out the fuse. To find the fuse, remove it from the mains, remove the outer cover and follow where the power cable enters the case. There will be a PCBoard with a fuse on it.
Always replace the fuse with one of exactly the same type and value!
