The blue screen is known as the screen of death for a reason. You can try getting it fixed but most likely you'll need to replace it.

yes they can be replaced but probably cheaper to get a new one. Give garmin a phone call to see how much it is or sell your old one on ebay and get a bit of cash to buy your new one.

Hello

When the handset fell down, the flex that connect the screen and the panel has shift. Get a screw driver, unscrew the phone and try to adjust the screen.

If after doing his the problem continues you need to change the screen of the phone.

Sorry to say, but your son is right. Damaged screens can only be replaced, not repaired. It's like trying to fix a cracked or shattered windshield on a car. The screen is very fragile and sensitive.
The cost of replacing the screen is almost as the price of a new TV if not more. Sorry to give you the bad news.

I have the same phone, and I have dropped it several times, including on concrete and pavement, and the screens have not even been scratched. I am not saying I have not been lucky, or that you might not have a dud phone, but I think you are understating the truth a bit. Also, you are asking people to solve a problem that has only a couple (very obvious) solutions: Check if the the phone can be repaired by a professional, or, most likely, get a new phone. your unit experienced shock. due to fragility of the phone, your LCD might be broken, if not, the LCD connector needs to be refitted to its slot. If the problem is still the same, you need to replace ur LCD.
