Are you in salt water? yes furuno can fix and reseal, but saltwater inside can not be stopped and you should cut your losses. If you wish, place a desiccant pack inside the unit. that is one of those little silica gel packs that you got with the christmas presents. Be very careful and precise with the rubber seal and you may be able to seal it back up. Temperature cycling can draw in humid air which can not escape, so open it, put a couple of desiccant packs in there, or ship it to Furuno. If the board is corroded, forget it, the board costs too much!

The grill on the unit has a lot of moisture and it

Couple of things, are your filters clean??? If not clean them It also sounds like a lack of refrigerant, so get the system professionally checked and re-gassed.

Suspected moisture in Furuno GPS/Plotter display

You need to determine if it's moisture or damage to the protective coating on the LCD glass. If the screen coating is damaged it will have patches or discoloration that resemble water spots like you see on windows and glasses exposed to hard water. If it's moisture between the glass and LCD you should be able to make out the tiny water droplets that are evenly spread throughout the screen. The only proper fix for a glass with damage to the protective coating is replacement of the bezel assembly. If it's moisture you can try inserting a few silica gel packs inside the unit. Don't try to disassemble the bezel (LCD/Screen) assembly. Just but the gel packs inside the 1650 chassis and give it a day or two. Otherwise, you're looking at factory repaire.

Furuno model 141 marine radar screen display randomly disappears and re appears some seconds to minutes interval. Suspect contrast control. all other functions serviceble and normal

It may be the flyback transformer that sends HV (12,000 Volts) to your screen. That could be due to age, cold solder joints. Get it checked out by a technician. There may be more going on than I suspect. If it happens when you jar the unit (hit it) then more than likely the flyback transformer is the problem.

I have a Furuno 1622 radar. It only shows a ring

I don't beleive this is goning to fix your problem. Open the dome and visually check that it is spinning. There is a maintenance menu though. To open the maintenance menu;
1. Turn the radar on.
2. Wait until the initial screen appears, then press and hold UP and DOWN keys together.
3. In about 10 seconds, the maintenance menu as shown below will appear.
4. Press MENU key to close the menu.
