Why does my new 8GB Kingston usb pendrive only have a 7 MB capacity? I just bought a brand new 8GB usb pendrive from walmart. But after formatting it and checking the properties for disk space, it says that my drive has a 7MB capacity, that is way-way less than 8GB. Whats wrong with it? How do I free up the rest of my pendrive (if possible)?

MY USB FLASH DRIVE ISNT SHOWING UP AT ALL ON MY LAPTOP

Hi,
Check to see if the drive works in another USB port or in another computer. This should tell you if the problem is with the drive or the computer or port you are using.

What kind of computer are you using?
Does it give any warnings when you plug the drive in?

sounds like you upgraded it to a dynamic volume and are using the leftover space, flash drives should be left as basic disks and formatted fat 32.

My 8GB Kingston pen drive shows ''USB device not recognized'' when inserted in any PC. Help please

It has malfunctioned.
Kingston will replace it, under warranty, but all your data is, sadly, "gone".
