High speed vibration

I drive a 02 grand prix with 88k on it about a month ago I noticed what seemed to be a vibration in the pedals and the steering column. At this point there was no signs of a problem because I wasn't driving on the highway, but the first time I took it out on the highway I noticed that when I reached 70 mph that a slight shuttering was occuring. Now the problem seems to be worsening, when I drive between 70-72 mph the shuttering increases and can be noticed in the dash. At 75 mph the vibration is at its max but sometimes when I push through the speed to 80 mph the vibration seems to reduce. Thinking it might be the roads I have driven on four major highways and all the same result, however on rare occasion the vibration doesn't occur at all so the mystery continues for me. What is a good starting point? Before I forget, lft front rotor was replaced 3 months ago and brakes felt great up until this month, where it seems like even breaking it just seems as if there is reduced effectiveness as the wheels turn and slow down but grab fine at other points in rotation.

I also had this problem and found that the cv joints in the transaxles were bad. I replaced the axles at a cost of $65 dollars apiece plus the cost of labor.

Try checking your bearings on both sides. as for your brakes when you change your rotors try changing both of them as well as your pads. i had the same problems and that fixed it. if it persists i would look at your ball joints and then your calipers. good luck.

Bad shuddering/shaking at high speeds. 2000 Dodge Caravan 3.3l fwd

Typical behavior for a wheel is out of balance. Get all four checked. Also look for bulges on the inside of the tyres. If the camber is that noticeable, you also need wheel alignment doing as well. It also sounds as though the suspension or steering joints are severely worn, and if a top or bottom joint fails, the wheel falls out, top or bottom leaving you stranded on the road.

Hi, this symptom is usually caused by warped brake rotors. You can have your rotors resurfaced at any brake shop or you can just buy new ones, depending on the cost breakpoint for your vehicle.

Front end vibration

this is most often caused by worn out drive axle constant velocity joints or CV joints as we tech's call them, have them checked for torn boots or excessive wear, I am sure one or both will be found.
