All telivisions has fuses inside. Some of them has one, and some has two. If your tv doesn't power on, and power chord and outlet is ok, surely the fuse inside may blown out. There may be some reason for the blowing of fuse. Fuses are used inside tvs are for protection purposes. f any overvoltage or over current taken by the system, the fuse will blow out. you must fist find out the resom for the bowing of fuse. New fuse must be put in only after that check. Otherwise you will spoil the whole circut board inside the tv irrepairable. Concat a service personnal, and let him do that. Ok.
Remember, different tvs have different power ratings. Must select proper fuse according to the ratings.
Hello. If you have multimeter available you can actually check if voltage present at the end of your power cord first. If it's OK than you have to remove back cover from your TV and locate power supply board. It's very easy - it should be next to the power cord receptacle. First look for capacitors that have bulged tops instead of flat ones. If you locate any - replace them and check if it's going to take care of problem. Right next to receptacle connection is fuse located and you have to check if it's open. Replace it if needed. If new fuse got blown right away - you have short in power supply board. If fuse is OK - connect power cord and using multimeter try to figure out if 5V is supplied from Power supply board to the main board (the one that have all inputs attached to it). If 5V is present but power LED in front of the TV is still dead - you could have problem with main board. Best regards. Russ.
check outlet power by connect other device, check power cord if OK check then unplug tv and open the back cover and check power filter fuse power filter is the one that you hooked power cord if OK check power supply board fuses if OK check the power supply board for bad blown components .good luck
Does it have power LED on/blinking? Any clicking sounds from inside when you connecting TV's power cord to the wall outlet? If it's completely dead - check power outlet in the wall, check power cord with multimeter, than open up rear cover and check fuses with multimeter. If they are OK - you need professionals diagnose it. Repair will start with power board replacement.
1. Unplug the cord & check if there is power at the outlet. 2. Check for a busted fuse/or tripped off circuit breaker at the main power panel pf your house. 3. Check for the busted fuse inside the case of your projection TV. This is just near where your power cable of your TV is connected. 4. When you are done, plug back your cord to the power outlet, and put the power on. This should correct your problem. Send us your email and keep us informed.
