Hi, We keep having the same problem with our LG Nortel IPLDK phones where by we lose a line. I recently spoke to an engineer who talked me through restoring COS001 and COS002 (Lines 1 and 2 on our phones) however since then we have been unable to use line 1 on a different phone. Is it possible to talk me through this procedure again to restore COS001 on a different handset??

If you only have one line,why not just lose the Nortel system? You can reuse the wiring from the phone sets to the contoller as regular inside wire,and just plug in regular phones(and maybe put the Nortel phones and controller on EBay and make a few bucks off it!)

If you switched phone companies and the feature stopped working you probably had Call Forward Busy/No Answer from AT&T. If you use the call forwarding in the phone it will use two phone lines for the entire length of the call. Call Comcast and have them add Call Forward Busy/No Answer and tell them the number you would like your calls forwarded to and the ring cycle (the number of rings on no answer).

The DN may not be configured to allow forwarding to an outside line for security reasons. I think the default is 4 digits. You will need to talk to whomever programs your switch and ask them to allow this feature.

OK, the Nortel T7208 set works only on a Nortel system.
It has only one line cord plugged into it, cause the telephone system can be programmed for more telephone lines and features from the system.

If you want just a home (analog) telephone service; look at Aastra/ Telematrix/ there are others - 2 line sets.

ONLY buy this Nortel set is you have a Norstar system. Otherwise the set will not work for you. It needs a system to run off.

Keep looking under Terminals and Sets for your extensions. Lines either Appear or Appear and Ring.
