I havea 46" sanyo model dp46841 lcd tv but the tv wont respond to the oem remote or universal remotes ?

Sounds like the infra-red sensor inside it is either damaged or it do not get proper voltage to work. Check it. If it get proper voltage/s and still not receive any infra-red signal from the remote control, replace it. The part in discussion will look somewhat like this.

25758228-54zq5khwu0nuxgxnhh2yrt4a-2-2.jpg Prior the replace this component, make sure that the remote control you're using works properly, and do emits infrared light rays, during each button presses on it. Check the remote control for its infrared emission. Check it with fresh batteries. If you wish to get more details about how to check a remote control, please visit this site. Control volume on external speaker system

There is no control for this in the TV. You must do it with the volume control of the external amp.

1997 F-150. No air out of dash vents. Fan and climate blow out of def. and floor. Replaced fuses , still no air out of dash.

Hi, the mode switch is actually vacuum operated, so it isn't a fuse. The usual failure mode is a loss of vacuum supply due to a leaky hose, but the mode switch may also have developed a leak. Look for a thin plastic vacuum line that runs for the engine intake manifold thru the firewall to the climate control panel. Check the connection to the intake manifold--it is usually a rubber hose stub that can get brittle and start leaking. If that is good trace the plastic hose into the truck and to the control panel. There may be a "T" near the panel that can also leak. Start the truck and listen for vacuum leaks near the control panel. Below are instructions for removing the control panel. If there is vacuum to the control panel and the swich is not leaking, the problem may be with the mode door actuator. Trace the plastic vacuum lines from the control panel to the vacuum actuators on the mode doors and check to make sure the actuators are not leaking vacuum when the mode selector is changed. Please let me know if you have any questions, and thanks for using FixYa.

  5. Remove the center instrument panel finish panel.
  6. Remove the climate control assembly retaining screws.
  7. Pull out the climate control assembly.
  8. Detach the electrical connectors.
  9. Detach the vacuum line connector.

How do I get to the control panel on a Maytag washer?

First, does the machine stop filling if you pull the plug? If not, he is wrong and you need the fill valve. The piece the hoses go into. If it does stop when plug pulled then he is likely correct.

Pull machine away from the wall. Disconnect power. The control panel has two plastic end caps. The rear edge of each end cap will show a hole which has a partially covered Phillips head screw in it. Put a screwdriver in and remove the screw in each end cap.

Move to the front of the washer. Grasp each end cap and pull straight toward you about 1/4 " to 1/2 " then lift. The control panel should disengage from the top of the machine. The top of the control panel stays attached to the back plate of the washer. Rotate the front of the control up. This will expose all parts in the control panel.

Look for a 1/4" clear hose coming from inside the machine to one of the switches. This small hose can become detached from the switch and not send the "full" signal to shut the water off. It may also develop a small air leak which prevents the signal. If the hose is detached...reattaching and adding a hose clamp will prevent future detachment. if not detached, the pressure (level) switch itself is likely the problem.

Reverse the above process to reattach the control panel. If the machine is full spin to empty before testing your repair to remove water from tube. Good Luck.

Erratic volume

Either the potentiometer which sits behind the user knob has got a broken track or it is full of debris

You can buy a tin of Servisol switch cleaner (or similar, make sure it has a lubricant in it and that propellant does not harm plastics) take off the knob and give it a good squirt where the spindle of the potentiometer enters the cabinet

Give the spindle a few full rotations and another dose of cleaner , then give it a try

It is best if you take a cover off and apply the cleaner direct to the potentiometer
