My house electricity went on and off for a second, and now my Motorola DSR922 will only make a constant clicking sound when I turn it own..click..click..click.. I always have it connected to a top of the line Panamax surge protector, so I'm not sure what is going on. And sending this thing in to Moto is a true ripoff..you might as well buy a new one. Does anyone know what this could be? And if my Panamax surge protector can't protect it, what can? This is my second unit in 5 years time and sadly Moto has the market cornered on this. Thanks for any help!
My pet went to the bath room on my DSR922. The receiver was already on and the readout said 888. Also saw a spark around the plug area, took off top and cleaned what I could. I need to find someone to look at it. Whom can I send this unit to rt that will repair it. NEED HELP...

I had same problem - found clicking stopped when I disconnected the Ku LNB - probably shorted. But, I have other problems in that both receiver and unit i.d. numbers have changed. So far, the only option seems to be to send it back to ATS (828 465 9968) for repair. I also had unit on UPS power.
