My Panasonic Viera TV is stuck on one channel and I can't change it. What has happened? I have had the TV for a while, so I know how to use it. What should I do? Thanks, Charles

It would have worked, but there was something else wrong. The Cable guy said something had been connected wrong when they checked for all digital broadcasting. But, thank you for your info. I am keeping your solution in my files.

I found mine was set to Setup --> Channel Surf Mode --> Digital. I have no "digital" channels. So changed to to "all" and it works again.

Our Panasonic Viera TC-32LX700 displays "Channel not found". We have unplugged it and gone through the initial set up all over again. It is connected to am antenna, not cable. After the display, the screen...

Try relocating the location of your antenna or changing the direction it is pointed. Once this is changed, select PROGRAM CHANNEL from the SETUP menu and set ANT IN to Antenna before selecting Auto to start the programming process.

I have a panasonic viera and it is stuck on the PC channle and wont change how do i change it or restart my tv entirely?

Are you using the remote's AV button or the AV button on the TV? Do the other buttons on the TV work? (If the control board has failed, then the remote won't work nor will the input button.)

Are the cables for other devices connected and were the devices connected and off when the TV was turrned on? Are they on when you try to change the input? Bad cables may limit the sources the TV will allow you to select. Some will not go to an input that isn't providing any signal.

You can try resetting the TV to the factory specifications (you'll lose the channel programming though). Press Menu > Setup > Shipping Conditions

The manual is available here: http://www.retrevo.com/support/Panasonic-TX-32LX70-TVs-manual/id/2920dj480/t/2/ if you need it.

I hope this helps.

Panasonic viera has flashing channel info in upper left corner

I had this exact same issue just yesterday. Channel info would flash intermittently. While set was in this mode, could not enter menu, change channels, etc. from remote or front panel controls. Similar to tjh492, I thought it might be an overheating issue. But unplugging the Viera and waiting for set to cool made no difference.

I then remembered that this issue popped up the instance I surfed to a particular channel (FWIW, 26-3 "Me Too" on Comcast here in Aurora, Illinois, USA). I had a hunch that there might be an issue with the signal on the channel that prevented the Viera from properly syncing, so I decided to unplug the antenna cable. Once I did that, the channel info displayed steady. I was then able to change channels (of course screen was blank as antenna cable was unplugged) and enter the Viera menu. I immediately went to channel set-up and manually removed channel 26-3 from the channel list. After reconnecting cable, Viera was back to normal. Since I'm not a big fan of "Me Too", problem solved :)

Not sure why a digital channel sync issue would effectively make the Viera remote and front panel controls inoperable. Pure speculation, but it could be that the Viera microprocessor was overloaded trying to sync to channel and this prevented any interrupts from remote or front panel controls.

Sorry, the chip in the tuner is preset and cannot be changed. I reccomend purchasin an "off air" tuner made for your location.
