I have the same problem, well - similar. The diverter is moving for me, however it is moving to the wrong position. It seems to move between the upper arm and then blocking off, rather than upper arm and then lower arm.
Did you manage to find a solution?

my prob turned out to be the motor that moves the valve from upper to lower arm. I had to call a repair man to replace the motor which was quite a big job. hope you get joy with your prob, maybe the stem that connects the motor to the valve is worn. pure theory

Thanks. We had a repair man come by today and he took the dishwasher away. He had a look at the motor and it looks like water was leaking as there was rusty water inside. Motor still works however may be faulty. He is investigating and getting back to us next week.
    Thanks

LG LD-2052SH. Hi, I have an LG dishwasher and the upper spray arm is not cleaning satisfactorily.

Remove the upper wash arm from the rack. Examine thoroughly. Look for hair line cracks especially if the wash arm is plastic. Top rack wash arms have spray holes on the top AND bottom. Check both places. Sometimes small fish bones will clog the hallway of wash arm not just the holes. After years of use, the wash arm will bow especially plastic ones. Be sure the water connection to wash arm is Secure. If you think the wash arm is not spinning, try this. Place a old cell phone inside a sealed glass jar and start recording video from the lower rack. Be sure jar is Secure. The light from phone will come on. You might see the problem this way.

LG LDF6810ST dishwasher won't clean and spin arms properly

Check for a worn bushing washer on the lower arm. Also, make sure the arms are clean inside - they are propelled by reaction from the water jets spraying out, and clogs will prevent proper water flow through the jet orifices. Sometimes food debris will get through the pump and cause this problem. The diverter valve may also have trash inside clogging it and keeping from seating properly - this could account for both low pressure at the spray arm and water coming out of the lower rack when it should not.

Top Rack does not clean, Pump was just replaced. No Error codes. Heat is good, house water pressure is good, drain is good. I've cleaned the filter.

You do not say if the drain pump, the main motor, or the entire motor / sump assembly was replaced. If all the holes in the upper spray arms are clear, replace the VIRO motor. It is a small motor next to the main motor, and it switches a water valve to divert water to either the bottom spray arm or the top spray arm, intermittently. (normally about a 2 minute cycle, unless a "top rack only" setting is selected, etc.) The dishwasher has to be removed from the cabinets to replace it.

The top two water water arms do not spin

These spray arm will only get water several times in the wash and rinse cycle. They do not turn at the same time the lower (bottom large spray arm under the bottom rack).
There is a chamber that diverts water either to the bottom sprayer or to the top sprayers, not to both at the same time.
If your top spray arms never get water, then there must be an issue with that chamber motor to divert the water. A new sump assembly that has all the new parts.
Good luck.

LG modelLD-1403W dishwasher. The bottom spray arm

The wheels on the bottom rack could be broken or collapsing..or the rack is distorted or bent..or the spray arm is not attached correctly or is damaged.

Bottom spray arm on our LG dishwasher LD-14AW3 won't spin.

sounds like no water going into the machine. you may need a water inlet valve.

Top arm in dishwasher will NOT spin!

When you say the top arm does not spin, remember that the LG model x811 family has the Vario feature that alternates between routing the pumped water to the bottom arm and then the top arms alternately. So anytime the dishwasher is washing and rinsing, either the lower or upper arms will be spinning.

If the problem is not above, then the motor that drives the check valve may have failed (or the check valve is obstructed inside.)

Hope that helps. Please post back here with what you find, OK?

Not cleaning on top rack. Pump, fill tube asm. & spray clean. Has any seen if this issue could be the deverter motor in the pump or the control board?

Just to review, the LG dishwasher family, including the LDS5811 has the Verio motor and the check valve that diverts water from the bottom rack to the top rack.

If the valve is blocked/jammed, this would cause the symptom you describe. The valve is visible from inside the DW after you open it up.

It is also possible that this motor has failed.

LG LDF6920ST Bottom spray arm dose not work

The LG LDF6920 dishwasher has an innovative "Vario" motor/check valve. It switches between full power spray on the upper arms and the lower arm. So, if you are looking inside the dishwasher to see which arm is spinning, you just have not opened it when the lower arm is turning.
if the root problem is that your dishes are not getting clean with this water conserving DW, go out and buy a name brand detergent powder - like Electrosol or Cascade. And use less powder then you have been using.
Good Luck!
