My Acer P196hqv moniter is always offset by about 50mm when I start my computer, and I have to use the moniter controls to correct it. Very frustrating!

Within the last few days the moniter "blue light" when it is turned on suddenly turns yellow and the screen goes dark. I move the mouse briskly and turn the moniter off and on again and...

You should check the "Power Options" when the computer "Sleeps" & "Hibernates". Go to the "Control Panel" if you Win 7 or below, if you have Win 10 just type "Power" on the "Search Box" on the bottom left of the screen and then click "Edit a Power Plan" and set when the Computer "Sleeps" and when it "Hibernates". Basically when you move your mouse you are waking up the Computer from "Sleeping" or "Hibernating". Goodluck.

I have Audi A6 Avant Allroad 2.7 biturbo. Original rim is 6" x 16" offset 15. How wide must the rim be when offset is 35 ?

The rims on cars are often given letter codes indicating the degree of offset. If you wheel is 15mm offset then it should always be 15mm. By fitting wider wheels the wheel not only sticks out further but also sticks in by the same amount. For example if you moved to a 8" width rim, this is an approximate increase of 50mm, the offset of the new rim should still be 15mm but the wheel now sticks out a further 25mm and also stick in by 25mm. The offset always remains the same and any increase in rim width should be balanced either side of the offset line. Failure to do this will result in an altered geometry of tire contact point with the ground. This might make the car take on a an aggressive stance but it will ruin the handling at slow speed and be downright dangerous at high speed.

If your on XP you can right click on the empty desktop and go to properties, Under the settings tab you will find options for screen resolutions. If your on Vista or 7 you right click on empty desktop space and go to screen resolution, There again you will easily find your settings for your screen resolution. Click apply and then click OK after that lay back and enjoy your screens clarity.

Computer see the monitor

if the moniter is an Acer brand, the logo could just be the moniters sceensaver and not the actual computer. If you have tried other computers and connections that you know to be working it would seem to place the fault with the moniter. try googling the brand and model of the moniter to see if there are any known faults and fixes.

No signal on computer moniter

1. Check your cable
2. check your cable pins make sure there not bent.
3. Check your video card make sure its putting out the correct resolution for the monitor.

No signal is just what it is. You may have a bad cable, bent pin or video card is not operational.

Things you can try.

Hook it up to a diffrent computer
Check the pins on the cable.

Worse case would be the little board inside where the connector is could be bad.

Thanks I hope this helps
