Thank you. I have seen those posts, the only problem is that everyone says that this part is un available. I really don't know what to do other than try to find a junker sony somewhere. this part was used in Sony boomboxes, Walkman's and telephones. The issue is finding one of these products that have one. I just really don't believe that they're aren't any sitting around at a repair warehouse somewhere. If anyone knows where I can get one either new old stock or used on a circuit board, I'd be extremely greatfull! Thank you for your suggestions. I do appreciate your help. I really love my Soundabout walkman and I'm VERY depressed that I dammaged it.

Another avenue might be to snag a whole unit off eBay for parts.

Here's one missing the power supply and cassette door.

I bet you could snipe it for $10.05 at 5 seconds to go. Not exactly $6.56 but a bird in the hand is worth two unavailable ones.

If you miss on that eBay one you might surf around for other devices that use that switch and snag a broken one for cheap.

How do I switch AM/FM on Walkman SRF M95?

The small grey "rocker" wheel, which is used for tuning, is also used to switch between AM and FM. Simply press the wheel in the middle and it will switch bands.

I hav this sony walkman nwd b103 model.. it says boot error and shuts down... i fixed it using firmware1.3.. but it used to have a FM mode.. after the error there is no FM mode.. what do i hav to do to get...

I would check and make sure you got the correct firmware. 'A', 'S' and 'F' on the end of the model is important. If you use a firmware with no FM, you will have no FM.

Connecting an MP3 player to car radio

The most common way is to use the auxiliary input of the deck or head unit. However I don't believe the JVC model you have has one of these. Don't despair though. Head to your local department store with a music department and pick up a universal FM modulator ($20-$30).

These will 'pretend' to be an FM radio station inside your vehicle. Attach the stereo mini plug to your walkman or other audio device (mp3 player etc.) Then tune the FM Radio to the fm station listed on the FM modulator and you will be able to listen to the device through your car stereo speakers. Now this isn't as clean as a direct hookup but for most its an economical way to listen to alternate sources on your Car Stereo.

No more TV on Sony TV/weather/fm/am walkman srf-m37v.

There's nothing you can do. With the switch to digital broadcasting, the sound isn't on the same frequencies it used to be so this radio can't pick it up. Right now, nobody's offering a digital receiver for the sound. All your radio is good for now is the regular radio and weather broadcasts.

My Sony Walkman WM -SR10 is not recording and the cassette tape is not working. Only the radio is player. And I cannot get another one to buy even its not the same. Can you help me

Hello aga2958,
I think you need to visit maintenance center to fix that cause its hardware problem.
But you can check somethings before u visit them .. like:
1. If you are using Batteries to power up the Walkman .. be sure the batteries are full charged.
2. Try to power on the Walkman by Adapter 3 Volts.
3. Be sure the tapes you are using are fine into other Cassette.
Thanks for using FixYa.
