I have a Kenwood car stereo model no. y21-5230-00. The audio IC was blown out and the technician lost the IC. I need the IC details so the I can have it replaced

First, check all speakers and speaker wires for shorts and/or grounds. If they all check out fine, try pressing the reset switch if there is one. If there is no reset switch, try disconnecting power to the radio for a few seconds. If the radio still remains in protect mode, chances are you probably have a blown output ic or voltage regulator ic.
Could be a short circuit on your speaker output, try disconnecting all 4 speaker wires and then power up. Otherwise its the audio amplifier circuit that needs to be replaced ( audio IC )
If you are a technician desolder the Audio amplifier IC,and check if the stereo turn on but with no sound.If the stereo turn on the audio amplifier IC is in short circuit and need to be replaced.

are you aware that when you short circut any audio output of any audio it can lead do destruction of th e concerned audio driver( ic or output transistors) try and check the output ic and the concerned area.
