My Norton Anti-Virus will expire soon, I need help in providing serial number to extend my norton. Thanks!

When you open your Norton you should find Update under the Help menu.

If you download a new version, or get a new box, simply install it and it should detect the existing and update it for you, prompting you when appropriate for the information.

If you're asking how to get a new serial number so that you can enter in the update code, simply goto Norton's website and you can buy that online.

Try here: http://store.norton.com/

Good luck!!

How can i down load my Norton internet on to my second computer

Just try it the normal way and it will either take it or not. If not, then ask us for help. And keep in mind that you get a free upgrade from NAV 2009 to NAV 2010 if you want it. (Product Upgrades)

Unless you mean you want to convert a one-machine subscription to a multi-machine subscription. For something like that, you need to talk to Symantec Customer Service.

Everything that I go to this keeps popping up RUNDLL Error loading C:/Windows system 32/_c00F3AO.dat %1 is not valid Win 32 application

this sounds like a classic case of spyware in your computer. you need to install an anti virus spyware package, e.g. norton antivirus. once installed run an anti virus scan and spyware scan it should solve your problem.

I got free norton trial with new laptop, about to expire so yesterday I ordered,as recomended, extended download service, norton internet security subscription and norton SystemWorks basic edition upgrade....

Chances are, the software that is already in your computer will be able to connect to its website and after entering an authorization code provided to you when you ordered it, the software should update itself. Otherwise, contact Norton's website directly.

Please completley remove the norton security from my computer...trying to run something comcst says you need to do something to rmove it...please do asap ...thank you

Go into Control Panel, then Add/Remove Programs. Wait for the list of all programs to load up.

Go down through the list and look for Norton Internet Security. Remove it. It will take a very long time, sometimes 1/2 hour or more depending on speed of computer. Reboot the computer after it has been removed, especially if/when it asks you to reboot after the process.

After rebooting, go back into Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs. Look for Symantec or Norton's Live Update, remove that as well. Also remove any other Symantec/Norton Anti-Virus or Internet Security programs as well. Then reboot the computer again.

Your computer should be much, much faster now. So now you need a new Anti-Virus program...

I've found in my experience that Norton and McAfee do more damage to some computers than good, besides the fact that they are severely over-priced. I would NEVER install either Norton (Symantec) or McAfee on anyone's computer. Matter of fact, I just had to remove Norton 2008 from a lady's computer today, an old Dell 2400 because her system was too old and slow to run new Norton.

My suggestions for much better anti-virus would be...

- Kaspersky Anti-Virus (search for it on Google, etc)

- Trend Micro PC-Cillin Anti-Virus (search for it on Google, etc)

- AVG Free Anti-Virus at http://free.grisoft.com, they also have more elaborate versions with more protection for a cost.

I personally use AVG on my computers, and my family does as well. It's very effective and gets out viruses that even Norton cannot remove.
