My nokia 5230 says phone memory is full however nothing is being stored on my phone memory. How do i clear spae without resetting the phone to factory settings?

If you try to download any files like games,picture,videos etc. be sure all this files must stored in memory card to avoid phone slugging or any other problem that you may encounter,

* On your home screen, type *#7780# - this procedure will restore all settings to default. (no data will be erased.)

* or type *#7370# - this will format your phone and restore to its original settings (all data will be erased.)

*#7780# - Soft Reset Code, It restores the factory setting without affecting your contacts, messages, files etc.It'll ask for the lock code. The dafult lock code is 12345.

*#7370# - Hard Reset Code, on entering this code it'll show you the same message "Restore all original phone settings" but this time it'll erase all the data stored in the phone memory. So, use it only when some serious software problem occurs such as virus attack.Take phone meory data backup on memory card or PC before doing hard format.

the data that you receive by bluetooth gets stored in the phone memory...change that setting to memory card...or there may be number of messages in your msg folder...or just simply apply restore factory settings on the settings option and your phone will function properly

sir, you have to format your entire phone memory , for this do the following 1. Switch off your phone...
2. Remove SIM card & memory chip...
3. Now press & hold keys - 3,*,call green) ...
4. Then without leaving these three buttons press power button...
5. Formatting task will be started...
