My washing machine wont work properly!!!!!

possibly the main drive belt has either snapped or jumped off the pulley and this allows you to turn easily by hand the whir/buzz sounds like system in coming into play but with no belt to drive nothing more happens, the front lower portion of the machine could be the water pump working overtime unable to drain ???

Yea most Aqualtis' have a door release tab behind the kickplate.

If the machine is dead, I would check the cable from the main boad leading to the front display on the door. Often the cableharness breaks at the hinge. (one of cables). If that is not the case, eather the main board or display board is dead.

find a dealer and get a manual for the washer it will have a trouble shooting section will tell exactly what is wrong

the pump could possibly be jammed. you will need to drain the machine and remove the filter to check for any obstruction

i have hotpoint aqualtis, it washes & empties but then starts flashing when ready to rinse. any suggestions?

Sounds like needs new door interlock swith Cost around 15 pounds.....Simple to fit

I Have the same machines and the only option is the Hotpoint stacking kit. Available from Hotpoint - 08448225225. They are selling it half price at the moment for around £70 delivered. I have been assured by Hotpoint this is the only option.

Try unplugging it and rubbing the plug on a soft dry cloth, static electricity can cause problems.
Try opening and closing door acouple of times, if still no luck , suggest you call engineer
