Sounds like a threading problem. Thread the machine all the way to the needle but not the needle eye. Then pull on the thread and lift the presser foot up and down. You should have tension when it is down and no tension when it is up. If this is the case try sewing, should fix the problem. If this is not the case your machine will need to be adjusted buy your pfaff dealer.

Sometimes the use of two different weights or types of thread (top and bobbin) throws off the tension in stitches. Try using same thread in both places and re thread machine. Try stitching now.
