Hello, Welcome to fixya.com

Sorry to hear that your do not have a matching receiver for this set.
The type of transmitter in this set is not compatible with just any actually its programed just for that keyboard mouse combo, However have you tried ebay.com?

See the transmitter in this unit is not like any remote control type of thing so what your thinking of will not work. You could call microsoft with a part number of ther set and see if they could get you a replacement but there is no gaurentee's.

Thanks,

I must add that the mouse had worked fine for several months. Just recently did it not want to turn on. As I said I can remove the batteries, which had been replaced, and upon reinserting them the laser will come on as if it is going to work but then it goes out and does not work.

This would be a direct result of the little brick that goes into the USB port on the computer.. That would need to be replaced..

Microsoft wireless ENTERTAINMENT keyboard 7000 manual. At the top right-side of the board you will find a mouse. Button "OK" not working. What can be done

For the extra buttons to work you will need to install the software that came with the keyboard. If none was provided the instructions will usually tell you a website to get them from.
Here is a link to microsofts site containing downloads for this product.
http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/en-us/d/wireless-entertainment-keyboard-7000

After the proper drivers / software is installed, the extra function keys should work. If not the keyboard may be defective, or issues beyond the scope of this question may exist such as virus or other interference.

I need a macintosh driver for this keyboard

According to the specs of the keyboard and mouse you can not use them with a Mac, so there is no driver.
Any drivers that you would have needed should have been a CD within the original package.
Here is the required OS: Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition , Microsoft Windows 2000 / XP

I need instructions on removing the cover to replace the battry.microsoft wireless notebook laser mouse 7000.

  • Press the "button with the star symbol" while prying up the top cover of the mouse's body to replace the batteries. If the batteries have power, the LED on the underside of the mouse will illuminate.
  • 2 Plug the receiver component into an open and working USB port on your computer. Your computer should make a noise when the receiver is connected, and the system tray will show that you have connected new hardware. Some USB ports may not be compatible, so it is important to try several ports to find one that works.
  • 3 Press and hold the "connect" buttons on the underside of the mouse and on the receiver for several seconds to refresh the connection. An interrupted connection will cause jerky or inconsistent on-screen performance of the Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 7000.

I have a microsoft model 1011 wireless keyboard with no receiver. Is there a receiver available to make it work?

I find alot of wireless microsoft and logitech keyboards at thrift stores, also mice. Every microsoft keyboard I bought works with my microsoft receiver. Same with logitech. Try looking in the thrift stores for your receiver, or go on ebay. Both will have great deals. I buy keyboards for 5 and 6 dollars!
