This may be due to a faulty battery. Try plugging the phone into the wall charger, and see if the blank screen goes away while plugged in. If it does, then it is a faulty battery, and you need a new one. If it doesn't, try to do a factory reset through the desktop manager.
Hope this helps!

Try performing a hard reset: remove the battery from the device while it is still powered on, leave it out for 30 seconds, then reinsert.

White screen even after software update, please help?

Well, after doing more research, I found the answer! You need to buy a new LCD screen for your blackberry. I bought mine on eBay, i.e. http://cgi.ebay.com/Blackberry-8100-Pearl-Original-LCD-Display-Screen-Tools_W0QQitemZ290254550103QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item290254550103&_trkparms=72%3A552%7C39%3A1%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C240%3A1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

Make sure you get a screen with the tools, there are very small hex screws, but my tool sucked and I barely got the screws back in. There is also directions on youtube on how to replace the screen, you will have to take your whole phone apart. But it fixed my problem and my phone has worked great ever since.

I also got a rubber case to put on my phone, I have a TERRIBLE habit of dropping mine (hence why my screen broke to begin with) but I have dropped my phone a few times since, and the rubber really protects it, I got that on amazon.com.

Anyways....good luck! :)
