SOURCE: voice mail message waiting light does not light

Press down the "find handset" button until the paging beep stops (about 5 seconds) and this will reset the indicator lights on the handsets.

Pretty much, it depends on what happens when you dial 165. That's the voice mail access number for a Panasonic TD phone system with Pana VM. If you get the voice mail lady, set the box up and then from the intercom dial 7102/3/4/5 where 2 is all/3 is busy, 4 is no answer and 5 is busy/no answer and 165 or whatever the VM access number is and possibly # (I forget if it's required). That will light the FWD/DND light and send calls to the voice mail system.

Our system just keeps ringing and does not go to voice-mail. When we are here to answer, we can transfer to voice-mail and the system works fine.
hi if you press your Voice Mail button on your handset a number will flash on the screen (i.e. 519) this is your VM number, with the handset down dial 602 followed by that VM number. I have posted a video off http://www.abbeytelecom.com which has many others like this relating to the Samsung Prostar system.

My uniden cordless phone says vm on the screen. What does that mean?
It is voice mail and some time you checked voice mail on your cordless phone but light will keep flashing that you need to check your voice mail. if it does not fixed then You need to also delete the voice mail from any voip device and it should turn off blinking lights and will clear vm message.

press menu
arrow down to "Initial setting"
press select
"voice mail" will sow on the screen
press select
"store VM access#" will sow on the screen
press select
edit the number and press save

Good luck. If you follow all of the above instructions and the red light keeps blinking, that's just the way it is. And that's according to the Philips tech support team. Especially if it's in relation to voice mail icon. The phone appears to think you have a voice mail message even if you've checked it and deleted them all or have no voice mail service whatsoever. So you may be stuck with the blinking red light forever.
