I have had the same problem. If you have a VGA cable shown at the bottom. You can hook that into your laptop into the TV. The slots look like a blue incovering. You can also look at the image below that one for more additional help....

I tried this.. and it works perfect for the video.. but there is no audio.
Is there any specific setting to be made in TV or my laptop?
I have Dell laptop with Win7, because I dont see any option to enable audio..

Your LG LCD monitor has a white DVI connector for connecting the signal cable.

You would reqire either an HDMI to DVI(male connector cable for the xbox) so that you can hook the hdmi cable to the xbox and other end to your monitor.
The cable would look something like this

You will need either a DVI-I to DVI-I cable or a DVI-I to HDMI cable. Your computer should have a DVI-I output or HDMI. You can not directly connect a VGA output to the TV. If needed, you can purchase a VGA to component (Y/Pb/Pr) converter.

Why do you use VGA-HDMI cable? This TV works fine with VGA cable - it has VGA plug.
Or if your notebook has DVI output, then you can use DVI/HDMI cable and connect it to the TV to plug named DVI/HDMI (only one HDMI input is marked as DVI on TV).
I suppose that over HDMI the TV supports only some standard resolutions, but over VGA it supports almost every resolution laptops use. You can find supported resolutions for each input in the TV manual. Try setting the same resolution on the laptop.

You must choose :HDMI or VGA, if HDMI The VGA board must Have HDMI Connector, and you connect a HDMI cable to the TV.

The HDMI is a digital signal input/output, VGA is Analog Signal. You must have Signal Converter if you Use the 2 signals

If your computer has a svga output use input 7 on tv with vga to vga cable and 3.5-3.5 Radioshack 42-2387 cable for audio for best results. If you use the dvi to hdmi on input 6 on tv use 3.5- rca Radioshack part number 42-2551 1/8=3.5mm.

If it is a dvi monitor then you would need a dvi cable. VGA monitor would need a VGA cable. HDMI monitor would need a hdmi cable. If it is compatible with both dvi & vga and your video card has a dvi output then dvi is a better quality than vga. You can purchase the cable online at a store like cables2go. So if there is not a vga input connection on your lcd tv which most do. You can get a vga to dvi cable adapter in conjunction with a dvi to hdmi conversion cable. Note that you may have to change your resolution settings in order to veiw computer images on your lcd t.v. If your laptop has an svideo output you can also connect this way but the image quality will be greatly reduced.

Hi, I'm afraid that not only a cable is needed but an analog (vga) to digital (dvi) converter/scaler as well. The iLo LCD Display V27DMBX-U12 can hook up to a PC using the DVI-I connection only. As you said, your computer has the standard 1D15 pin VGA connector. Another possibility is if your video card has a composite video output (normally a color yellow RCA female) or an S-Video output which will both connect direct to your iLo LCD Display V27DMBX-U12. For the RCA connection all you need is an ordinary RCA to RCA shielded wire cable and for the S-Video, an S to S Video cable will work.
