Glasses always have sediment on them, not all dishes get cleaned

No matter what soap I use, the above problem occurs. Any ideas?
I noticed that there is considerable sediment in the back floor of the dishwasher behind that screen.
THanks

My problem is similar in that many dishes and glasses that go thru the cycle are still dirty when the cycle completes. I'll never buy another Profile again! Suggestions?

Remove the lower spray arm by rotating counter clockwise while lifting it up. It will come right out. Look at the bottom and you will see two holes (jets) that are plugged with food chunks, broken glass, etc... their job in life is to keep the fine filter clean. Also make sure your hot water is actually hot... like 130 degree hot. Then run 2 cups of Tang Orange drink through it on the Pots and Pans cycle, added heat on, to remove mineral deposits. (Tang is VERY high in citric acid and will clean it out safely)

Grit in clean glasses and on dishes

Mary do you have a water softener? If so, only use 1 tablespoon of dry dishwashing detergent per wash. Don't use tablets or liquid soaps. Too much soap will wear down the items you wash, leave streaks and pock your dishes. That might be what the sandy grit is. Also, to get rid of the grit inside of your washer you can buy a special dishwasher cleaner at almost any hardware store. Always try to use a rinse-aid. Make sure your drain filters are clean. Hope this helps. Jewels

No error message and is washing fine but it is rusting all my pots and pans and my cutlery also all my glasses are coming out all cloudy the dishwaser has also always asking for salt we have put in 3 bags...

Hi, I am only a housewife but salt is a corrosive. At home depo, menards, or lowes you can get a dishwasher cleaning kit. Use that to clean your dishwasher. Next because of new state and national laws soaps had to have a change in the chemical make up to have less sulfate or something like that. My glasses were cloudy all the time. I cleaned my dishwasher and now I
only put in dawn dish soap. I don't have to use anything else. My dishes come out clean and spotless. Now you may have to do a little more cleaning on your dishes before you put them in
because your not using regular dishwasher soap but I don't have those spots. Also I put about
a fourth teaspoon of the liquid soap in the 1st cycle soap dish and another fourth teaspoon in the 2nd cycle. You may have to experiment as to the amount you need becasue of how hard your
water is. If you put too much in soap suds will come out during the wash cycles. Hope is works

Food remnants left on top rack of glasses and ceramic mugs.

Before loading into the machine clean the particles that are sticking to the dishes.

Check the drain filter at the bottom rack and clean. It is user cleanable

The problem is hard water. Go to www.dishwasherfilter.com. They have a new product out that solves this problem once and for all. It filters the water entering your dishwasher and removes the hard minerals that cause these spots. Very affordable and guaranteed to leave your dishes looking amazing every time.

Glasses do not get cleaned

HI, i recommend inspecting these areas below to combat this issue.

Not enough water
If there is not enough water, the dishes would not get cleaned. This could be caused by a partially closed water shut-off valve (located under the sink), or a faulty dishwasher water valve (located at the bottom of the dishwasher, behind the kick panel, on either side).

Clogged spay arms
There is usually two, sometimes three spray arms in a dishwasher. Make sure there is no debris blocking the holes inside each spray arm.

Water temperature is too low
To get the best results, the water has to be at 120 degrees Fahrenheit when entering the dishwasher.

Not enough soap
If you only fill one part of the soap cup, try adding soap to both parts.

Smoky film on dishes and glasses
This problem occurs due to excessive calcium build up inside the dishwasher. Try cleaning you dishwasher using a dishwasher cleaner.

Glassware and dishes getting water spots lately.

I think your dish washer is starting to go out. We have a Kenmore dish washer (unsure if the model is the same), it started with not cleaning the dishes well to not sanitizing and now it doesnt dry. We are actually replacing ours today. We we noticed that it wasnt cleaning properly (water spots, or not rinsing well) we too added Jet Dry thinking that that would solve it. We soon discovered that it didnt help at all. Hope this helps you.

Very filmy looking glasses

The problem is hard water. There is a new product out called the dishwasher filtration system. It filters the water before it enters your dishwasher. It works amazing and has a money back guarantee. You will love the way your dishes look after the first load. It is also very affordable (like 70 bucks). Go to www.dishwasherfilter.com to find out more info.
