Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
For the F05 presumably you found and cleared/cleaned the drain filter ;-0)
F09 is rather a more difficult problem as it decodes as an 'incorrect or faulty EEPROM'. I presume you have tried disconnecting power and reconnecting again? If you have I'm afraid it will need an engineer to fix ;-0( Sorry, John C

I have fault code F06 on my Hotpoint WMf740 machine, what does this mean?

Hello,

F6 error is apparently a motor fault. The
motor could be jammed, open circuit ,
burnt out. It may just be a broken wire
or connection come off. Check the motor.

Error message F-01 & flashing lights etc I have a Hotpoint aquarius, WMF740. Suddenly returning to the kitchen I noticed an error message - the machine was switched off - which says F-01 and flashes...

Error code F01 indicates a short circuit motor triac.
You need to check connections on the motor, the motor plug and the module.
Having said that, you really should ring the manufacture, as the washer is still obviously under guarantee, and should be fixed at no cost to you.
The point to bear in mind is that if you do anything to it yourself, then in theory, you could invalidate the guarantee.
So, unless it is anything obvious, then I would advise you ring the manufacturer.
Hope this is of assistance to you.
Please rate my solution.
Thankyou.
