Hi i have a Hotpoint WMF740 Aquarius washing machine which had a F-05 error which i have hopefully fixed. now the lcd display is saying f-09 error what do i need to do now.

the problem is the shaft on the control knob
is cracked so the knob turns but won't grip
the shaft on the control panel
requires an new knob

try to tighten the screw using a small screw driver or try to pull the knob and give some paper packing and fix it then rotate the knob to the desired position

put it on rinse add cup of bleach

Just had same problem with my hotpoint wmf740 showing h20 and found an easy fix was to clean out the detergent draw thoroughly and just behind it.to remove tray was easy and it does say to do this regulary in the manual

F6 error is apparently a motor fault. The
motor could be jammed, open circuit ,
burnt out. It may just be a broken wire
or connection come off. Check the motor.

tip machine right back and unscrew valve. It is probably caught on something. Hope this helps ( I had a kirby stuck in mine)

Error code F01 indicates a short circuit motor triac.
You need to check connections on the motor, the motor plug and the module.
Having said that, you really should ring the manufacture, as the washer is still obviously under guarantee, and should be fixed at no cost to you.
The point to bear in mind is that if you do anything to it yourself, then in theory, you could invalidate the guarantee.
So, unless it is anything obvious, then I would advise you ring the manufacturer.
