How to open the Krups V65 iron
There are no clearly visible screws. Below the "secret" unveiled:

you have to pull the cover in the arrow direction, disengaging in circled positions.
After that, pull out the upper rubber keys, you will see the screw below:

Krups KM7000 grinds but won't brew, warming plate no heat. Is this repairable, (perhaps a fuse?) or is it junk. Bought the machine in March 2008

Mine had the same problem ... all the lights are on, but no heating on the plate, and no dripping of water.

After a weekend on the workbench, I've mastered this machine. The KM7000 has 2 x MicroTemp G4 thermal cutoff (TCO) fuses which interrupt the Live line, for overheat protection. Mine didn't overheat per se, but the TCO blew anyway. Not reset-able ... need to be replaced with a soldering iron. I'll be happy to advise you to fix this, or fix it for you. Write me at [email protected].

Dead krups waffle iron

That is probably a thermal fuse. It is designed to open and stop heaters from working incase of over heat condition.

Meaning if you did not leave the appliance on too long with nothiung in it, the thermostat may be not opening at correct temp or the fuse was in a place where it got over heated or the fuse was weak.

You can replace it 1 time see if it worked ok but if it goes out again and you didn't see anything this time best replace it. Especially if under $50.00. Thermostat will probably run 1/2 of that. Thermal fuse 3 to 10. Try a heating AC parts store and take the old party with you.

If this helps you please help me by rating me as high as you can. Thanks for using fix ya.

Why isn't my Iron heating up? Just finished filling my Krups V65 iron with water. Was ironing linen shirt on linen setting, all of a sudden, heat dropped all the way down to light one (very low heat) and...

I do believe the thermostat is defective. All the iron have a small thermastat top control the temperature and is working like a switch. If the switch don`t work get stuck on the same position.Unfortunatly sometimes is better get a new one themn fix an old one but this is The Market and nothing i can do personally. Also make sure the thermostat knob is working properly. If you hear a click when you turn is ok.
Good Luck
