Yes, this product is compatible with Windows 7.
To note, if you are upgrading to Windows 7 from either Windows Vista or Windows XP check before installing that your Wired/Wireless equipment on your computer will have compatible drivers for Windows 7.

You need to download and install the drivers for Windows XP.

Here download link, scroll down the page and ensure you download the Windows XP drivers, not any of the other versions.

check if your laptop has its necessary drivers for the network adapter. if none, you need to install a network adapter driver.

You can get a free program from Microsoft (download from their website) that when ran on your computer will tell you if it can run Vista. see: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-vista/get/upgrade-advisor.aspx

- Log on to the configuration page of the router
- Go to Manual Wireless Network Setup
- And Change the Channel width to different one

You shouldn't need to install anything off the CD. Simply plug your Macbook into the DIR-300 via ethernet (making sure you manually set your Macbook's IP to 192.168.0.x (where x is anything from 2-254). Then open up your web browser and type 192.168.0.1 into the address bar. This will log you into the DIR-300 (I think the default login is "admin" with no password).
