My philips cd445 needs new batteries i think they are discontinued so where will i get new batteries for this phone

Small knowledge of electricity and Voltmeter. Check voltage on contact for charging. Voltage depend of used batteries and simple definition is that voltage must be something higher.

I have the same problem. New fully charged batteries in philips cd445 run empty without charging. could the be a problem with the contact to the charger? anyone with a solution??? Thanks!

Simple answer yes they are compatable I just did it as I could not find any CD445 handsets.The manuals are downloadable from Phillips just search for CD445 or CD245 manual.Just press speaker button on 445 base for 5 seconds untill it beeps twice,then on new 245 handset menu/ register enter default code 0000 and bingo its live. Oddly the newer handset bases are 9v and not compatable with 445 bases which are 6v and have different contacts so you cant sit your 245 in the old base.My new 245 came with a new base anyway so no problem.

Hi the handset for the telephone (philips) is blinking red and the screen indicates to new calls and i ereased all messages and still blinking with a new calls .any one can help me plz? thank you so much

if you have had it a while chances r the batterys have had it even though they show full, try a new set, or even try standard batterys briefly while fone is not in charging mode to see if they work during a call.

You might have what is called "memory'. If you continue to replace the phone on it's charger after each call the battery will "think" it's empty, giving you s short charge time. Next time you replace the batteries (rechargeable) FULLY charge them then leave the phone off the charger until you go to bed at night.

on when you have a new message in your
mailbox. After you have accessed to all the new
messages, icon will turn off automatically. If
you find that the message waiting indication
cannot be turned off by the network, you can
still turn off the message waiting indication with
your phone by the following step :

In idle mode, if voice mail waiting icon is on,
long press the redial key to turn off the voice mail waiting
icon.
Once you choose to delete the message waiting
indication, all the other handsets registered to
the same base station will turn off the message
waiting indication accordingly.

this would indicate that you have an internal circuit fault and this can not be repaired for the cost it taqkes just to go get a new one
