Without a brand and model number, here is my best thoughts on what to check; 1) Was the shut off valve for water going to the dishwasher turned on after new faucet install? Is it turned on now? 2) Is water getting to the dishwasher water inlet control valve? 3) If water is getting to the water inlet control valve, unplug the dishwasher and check the solenoid to see if it is shorted. Unplug the solenoid. Using an ohm meter, check for 500-1000 ohms resistance. If there is no resistance, it is most likely shorted and needs to be replaced.
First, have you run it long enough to purge the air from the dishwasher line?
Secondly, the solenoid valve for the water inlet may be stuck due to no pressure on it while you were gone. Tapping it with something light like a wrench may jump-start it.
check to see if your water is turned on first to unit second you may have a solenoid problem
with unit not sure without checking it
water inlet valves may be clogged
Try unplugging the machine for 30 minutes then plugging it back in. I am worried that the pump is bad due to the fact that it needs water to add resistance to work properly and without water the pump spins so free the it burns itself out. But first try unplugging the dishwasher first
I fixed the problem. I had been away and had my hot water tank turned down to "vacation".
Upon my return I turned it up but it appears it was not hot enough. I went on the Internet and found that I needed to have the water hotter........presto! it is working fine.
Unplug the washer and wait 30 minutes, sometimes the next morning for the machine to reset. Make sure the water is on because it while find multiple failures and lock up, Secondly you can try putting the machine into diagnostic cycle to ensure it is ok. Press drain/spin and select no spin for spin speed finally press prewash quickly two or three times and let it run, any flashing codes?, hit prewash again after writing the codes down.
