Go int "ontrol panel" ad you should see s "taskbar and start menu" icon. Right click on that and open. A window will appear and at the top you will see a toolbar tab. Click on that and you should see your avaiable tool bars Click on the box(x) you want and at lower right click on apply. That should do it.

I do not see a toolbar icon when I open taskbar

Click start at lower left of your window. Window will pop up, find Control Panel and click on to open. In your screen now will be a bunch of options, not sure if you have icon view. You should see, "Taskbar and Start menu" left click on that and open. A window will pop up and at the top right you should see a tab "toolbars" Click on that and there should be a list of your toolbars. Click on(check box) of the one you want and click "apply" at lower right of little window. Exit

Sorry, I stated the question wrong. I do not want game cd's to open up in word pad format because I do not understand the computer language and can't get them to install right.

I still don't understand your question or problem but here is what I get out of it.

First of all Mozilla Firefox is your Internet Browser, not your Internet Service. Your Internet Service is provided by who you pay the monthly check to each month.

Now, it sounds like you have downloaded and installed something that you did not want, so you want to take it off.

If that is true, click Start and in the Search Box type in: System Restore. Look up towards the top and the search results will appear and you can click on System Restore. System Restore will allow you to select a Restore Point (date and time) to roll your system back to before you started having problems. System Restore will not delete any of your data, documents, music, pictures, videos or programs (unless the program was installed after the restore point you selected).

So in your case just select a Restore Point (date and time) that is before you downloaded and installed the program you don't want.

How do I get rid of alot?

Jon,

First, do a clean restart of your PC

Then, check in View, Toolbars and if it shows up there, click to remove the check in front of it, then click to put a check in front of Lock Toolbars.

Then shut down IE.

Also, go into Control Panel, Add-Remove and remove the listing for the AOL toolbar.

Finally, look into Tools, Manage Add-ons, and if there is a listing for it there, remove that one, too.

Bring IE back up and see if it is gone now. It certainly should be.

Let us know?

Cheers!

When try to open safari, it says it is open, but the window never shows up. Restarting my computer doesn't help. What is wrong with safari?

Usually when you see this it is something that tried to update something and failed. This can be the browser or most likely a toolbar or other add on. What you can do is kill off or uninstall the toolbars one at a time. Then restart safari. If that was the problem then it will work fine. Then you can try reinstalling the toolbar or look for a updated version.

On my new computer I downloaded and installed the AOL toolbar. It said it was completed, but it does not appear anywhere. It even gave me a page to pick items that I want to be on the toolbar, but then I...

Uninstall the AOL toolbar and try reinstalling it. If it continues, then the programming of the AOL Toolbar may not be compatible with your Operating System.

Getting message on computer anmaster.idx database file missing.i have no idea how to restore this please advise,as aol are hopeless, thank you.

It is an issue with AOL, when AOL is uninstalled some files and folders are left. After the uninstallation of AOL, you need to find and delete the remaining AOL folders and then you can reinstall AOL to restore the file.
