I have a i9+++ sciphone and i cant get gprs settings or wap.i live in south africa and service provider is vodacom.please assist me.please.

I live in South Africa as well. If you are talking about the internet and WAP Settings on your Cell phone. Here is how you get it.

The only way you can get these settings is to call your service provider, this is a toll free number.. Let them knw that you need the WAP, GPRS ect settings.

They will then send you the settings via a message. All you need to do then is to save the settings, you will get that option.

To get GPRS setting,You need to contact your service provider(Vodacom) through phone or go directly to their office.
They will send you the settings for your model.You will receive service settings in the special text message called as smart message. Please save the settings to your phone and set it has a default settings.Then you can start using the GPRS in your phone.

you just have to manually input the gprs settings on your mobile 8310 phone. copy the settings of other net-capable phones. we have the same phone, and i'm happily surfing the internet... :)

Just call to your network service center and say them to send you the Gprs settings and then save it to your cell fone. :)

to acces the internet you need to setup your GPRS-wap settings first and these are specific to your provider, for text, again depends on provider of the phone ... some providers block text messages from networks they don't want to have business with ... in spain particularly

First you have to make 2 data accounts,
1 for wap,
1 for mms.
Press service,
Data account,
GPRS, ok,
Pick any one of the settings because you are going to change it,
Press edit.
account name edit to O2 WAP GPRS,
APN to payandgo.o2.co.uk,
user name to payandgo,
password is password,
authentication type normal,
after each one if done is the option press it. this is the setting for wap internet.

You have to do the same again to make a new data account for the mms. the settings for this is
account name O2MMS,
APN payandgo.o2.co.uk,
user name payandgo all others same as before.

Now you have 2 new data accounts you need to set up wap.
press service, wap, settings, edit profile, sim 1 or 2 which ever you are using,
select the O2 WAP GPRS account that was made earlier,
press ok. press edit profile,
rename profile is ok it is O2 WAP GPRS,
edit home page to http//wap.o2.co.uk,
set data account to O2 WAP GPRS,
connection type wap, IP address 193,113,200,195
user name payandgo,
password is password,
press back and activate profile.
you should be able to get on to o2 homepage now.

To get mms
press text, mms, mms settings, server profile, sim which ever you are using 1 or 2 ,
select the O2 MMS made earlier, edit profile, rename profile is 0k should be O2 MMS, home page is http//mmsc.mms.o2.co.uk:8002,
data account is the O2 MMS you made before,
connection type wap,
MMS IP address 193,113,200,195
user name payandgo,
password is password,
select back when all settings are entered and select activate profile. this should be it.
This works OK for me.

you have to contact vodacom customer care. settings could be recieved through service provider only it can be delivered to you by a network you are using.
