Not to sure what you mean but if its a lock and pay screen on DVD's then try:

1. Install Media Player Classic Home Cinema (run a search for MPC-HC and it'll come up quickly).
2. Go to File - Open DVD, and select your DVD drive from the list.
3. When the DVD starts to play, right-click on the video and go to Navigate - Jump To... - (select whatever chapter you want!)
4. If the video doesn't play correctly after selecting a chapter, you've found one of the "lock and pay" streams. To fix it...
5. Right-click the video and go to Navigate - Video Angle - Angle 2.

That's it, you should be able to view the "locked out" video without tediously figuring out or paying money for a PIN code!

check to see if you got two screws if you do all you need is the light bulb if you still have the old one look at it and see if the bulb can be replace without breaking anything i no you mention a year ago

Two possibilities:

Virus. Google: AVG Rescue CD
Follow the instructions and scan your computer using the CD.
FYI: MagicISO is a free program that allows you to burn the file you download to a CD.

Hard disk is failing or has failed. Replace hard disk and reinstall Windows. Purchase external USB hard drive enclosure for old hard disk. Connect the enclosure to computer and attempt to copy your files to your new hard disk.

You can try to update the driver for the display if the update is not the solution I think you have to go to a repair shop and have it fixed.

IF NO RECALLS ON THE PROBLEM YOU HAVING.YOU HAVE TO PAY OUT OF POCKETS EXPENSES IF IT HAS RECALL YOU SHOULDNT HAVE TO PAY ANYTHING.CHECK WITH VOLVO DEALERSHIP.LET THEM KNOW YOUR CAR HAS A RECALL SEE IF THEY FIX IT.DONT LET THEM DO THE JOB.UNTIL YOU MAKE SURE YOU DONT HAVE TO PAY ANYTHING FIRST.

these cars like other budget cars have a life expectancy and being over 10 yr old its very close to being all over red rover [nearly not worth fixing ] if you can legally operate the car in your country without airbags then i would suggest you get the car serviced and if they fail the airbag test get the airbags deactivated , or pay to get the airbags roadworthy . but if you bought the car 2nd hand maybe the car has been in an accident and the airbags removed and not replaced which means you have never had airbags anyway .
