I'm sure you are seeing the I'm Mobile status on your name whenever you sign out of Yahoo Messenger.

That is because the "Always sign in to my mobile phone when I sign out of Messenger" was selected on the General tab of the Yahoo Messenger Preferrences.

To disable this process, follow this procedure:

1. Log in to your Yahoo Messenger
2. Click on the Messenger menu and then, scroll down to Preferences.
3. Select the General topic.
4. Make sure there is no mark on the box next to "Always sign in to my mobile phone when I sign out of Messenger"
5. Click Apply then click OK button.

After that restart your Yahoo Messenger. The next time you sign out, you will never be sign in automatically with your mobile.

You can change your preferences in Yahoo Messenger to stop it loading automatically as follows:

Click on "Messenger" in the top left hand corner of the Messenger Toolbar.

Click on "Preferences".

Click on "General".

UNTICK the box "Automatically start Yahoo Messenger".

Click on "Apply" at the bottom followed by "OK".

The only thing you need to do is log into Yahoo and when you log in it will tell you that your account was deactivated and then you will follow a few steps to reactivate it. Sometimes accounts get deleted when you stop using them. But try it out, just log in with your old e-mail address and password and it should give you the option to reactivate.

Just Sign in to your yahoo account and go to settings and deactivate the yahoo mobile messenger

goto to your profile in yahoo then deactive your account

it depends on how long you have not used it. it expires i think approximately 6 months after your last use and deactivate your account. if not, then you could just log in to your yahoo messenger account fine.

you can unistall yahoo messenger for you control panel add/remove programs and uninstall yahoo messenger. If you want to deactivate you email account with yahoo this can only be done by request, follow the link below for more info.

it's beacuse of the firewall settings that the Norton program has by default, try changing them.

it can be for 2 reasons 1.Lines are busy at that time. 2.You have an other yahoo messenger (eg Yah mes beta) so you should deactivate 1 of them
