Thanks for attempting to help. The URL you suggested is not relevant as my email address is personal and has been the same login for 3 years now. The other question is HOW to contact FB - I have a very specific problem and NONE of their Topics cover my issue. I can still get FB notifications to my email address, which means they do recognise it and are sending me stuff, but as soon as I try and log in, with the same email address, it says that there is no account linked to that email address. Then how come they just sent me an email to that address?

I also found this in their help sectionhttps://www.facebook.com/help/?faq=17013 , it might be of help, sorry i wasn't able to better help you the first time. i tried to find an email or phone number but they are nowhere to be found on their site, my last recommendation would be that your account was hacked and the email changed/the hacker added a different way of login, have one of your friends check your profile for email etc.

By looking into your problem, I think that email you've received is just a notification from someone added you as a friend or sent you a friend request. And we can't call this a spam because you have it in your setting. If do not want this notification to send you an email there's a way on how to do that.

1. On upper right of your fb page click .
2. Select . You can see 7 tabs.
3. Click on the tab. There you can check or uncheck the notifications you don't want to send you an email.
4. Once done, Just click the on the bottom of your page.

I want so much to be on facebook. I never receive my confirmation

There may be a typo in your email address so the confirmation is going to nowhere. Create an email account on yahoo / hotmail / googlemail and start again using the new one. It's worth having a separate email address for facebook as it can generate lots of notifications!

Unfortunately Facebook does not support email addresses with generic prefixes (e.g. info@, webmaster@ etc.). You will need to use a personal email address that does not contain this type of prefix. Since email addresses of this nature are typically used for organizations and businesses, Facebook does not allow them to be used for personal Facebook accounts. There are no exceptions to this rule.
One thing you can do is to sign up for a gmail, hotmail, or yahoo account and have your email forwarded from there to your info@ email (for facebook notifications and such).
Hope this helps!!

Facebook uses you email address as a username. This means that you can still login with the original email address and password even if your school has changed or deleted the email address.

In order to receive notifications from Facebook, you should update your contact email address to you new address by going to Settings > Account Settings (top left on the menu bar).

You can keep your old password :)
