Hi there, good thing you detect it earlier. Heres my tips cut that wire and try to solder it. Or if soldering is not possible rewire it by tie it together and coat with electrical tape for safety. It is possible that you have a cold contact on the supply. Hope this helps. Please rate and vote. Good day

What to I do if my TV got wet on the power cord but I am getting picture and sound before it cuts off?

If the liquid got into the TV and onto the printed circuit board, there could be damage to the circuit board. The fact that the TV had a reaction to the liquid is not a good thing. If the TV is still wet inside the problem will remain. If you continue to turn the TV on if it is still wet you might cause more damage. I would wait until the liquid is gone or dry and try the TV again. If the TV was in the normal position to watch, the liquid should run off and dry in a few days.

Lcd tv no turn on an de red stanby lite is off

The lack of the red light indicates that either the TV's power-cord is not connected, or that the wall-outlet is not supplying any power (check your circuit-breaker box), or the power-adapter inside the TV has malfunctioned.

My Wii has a red light when plugged in, and a green one while turned, on, the problem is, nothing is displayed on the tv or heard, also, the disk drive whirrs for a few second after turning on. The tv...

If the light is red, it means WiiConnect24 is turned off. Green means the system is turned on and it's normal for the Wii to whirr a bit when it's initially turned on.
Completely power down your system by pressing the power button for 10 seconds. If that doesn't work, unplug the AC Adapter from the Wii for a moment, then plug it back in.
That said, Nintendo recommends calling them if this doesn't fix your problem. Hope this helps.

Right now the standby 5vdc is working but it may have gone into safety shutdown due to failed power supply or shorted circuits in the backlight inverter board. You need to troubleshoot it to narrow down the causes first before buying the wrong parts.

Cannot get power with batteries or adapter.

Make sure the power cord is plugged in and that the red/white/yellow cables are plugged properly into the TV. Also, as you plug the red/white/yellow cables into the TV, make sure you turn the TV to the right channel - it is different for every TV. For instance, the red/white/yellow on the front of my Sony is labelled Video 2 - yours might be labelled FRONT, AUX, or something else.

Things you can try to get the V.Smile TV Learning System to work:
1) Press the Reset – Press and hold the ON button for about 10 seconds
2) Make sure the game is inserted far enough into the system, and that it is pointing in the right direction. You may occasionally need to clean the contacts.
3) Also, make sure you are using the supplied power cord/adapter, not batteries. Batteries cause more problems than they’re worth.

TV Picture cuts off.

The blue screen means that you have lost signal. If the set don't have signal for so long it turns itself off. "power saver feature" Check all connections or replace cables, If that don't work the signal board may be going bad.
