I recently got a free Nordictrac NTL1095.0 C2050 from my neighbor. it seems to be stuck in demo mode. no buttons work even when trying to get out of said mode. The console will beep when key is put in but no other function seems to work from the console. If key is put on and I walk manually (physically moving the tread by shear force of walking) on the treadmill the readout will show mph, and the pulse counter seems to work also. is this a console problem or a controller problem? something else maybe?

Well the reed switch is working but sounds like board or both check voltage coming to the console. wire harness. not sure but if it reads low controller iisue

You should still be able to turn the radio on even if it is in demo mode. If you can''t turn the radio on, you have other problems. Did you try pressing the source button? Most pioneer radios tell you how to turn demo mode off when you first put power to it.
To get the STR-DE845 ( or STR-DE945 ) out of DEMO MODE - Turn unit on and HOLD POWER BUTTON FOR A FEW SECONDS ...Turn unit off and when you turn it on again it should be reset ...It worked for me. ( Note : You may need to do this procedure before it goes into its actual demonstration of features ... Press and hold the power button immediately when it initially starts scrolling it's DEMONSTRATION MODE message . )
Did you have any luck? My LG is stuck in demo mode too. Menu button doesn't work, and keylock was on as default so I can't use the buttons on the TV itself.
Just try to initialize THE plager again.
Without cd in the player switch on the power while pressing the Play, Open and Next Track button.
On the display it says " initialized" Ready.
