My 32" G.E. television can

I have had similar experiences. I have a VCR sitting near the television. I found that if I keep the VCR turned on then the TV stops changing channels by itself. If the VCR is turned off, then it starts again. Weird, but it worked for some reason.

RCA P52939 turns on and off by itself

the front buttons are common for going flaky - if you remove the front grill you should be able to unplug them and use the remote only
if you use the buttons let me know and i will look up the board or switch part # all switchs will need to be replaced

TV turns itself on, keeps changing it's own channel

the problem is with the control panel of your tv...make sure your remote doesnt have any part in this...just remove and the batteries and check if the channels still are changing.....see if the onboard switch for channel changing is stuck ?..if stuck u can use homemade tools to pull it back......if your tv is within your gurantee period...just giv a call to customer care....if not u can take it to a local repair shop...there is nothin that u can urself do to make it right ...sorry....for further info contact at

Check voltage on D12 if below 4.8V then change
Changes channel or volume adjusts by itself

Try unplugging your TV for 8 hours and it comes back to normal. At least it did with mine.
